Deck Building

A beginner-friendly guide to building β€” and testing β€” your first competitive deck. A full in-browser deck builder is coming soon.

Deck Building 101

1

Pick a legendary

Go beginner-friendly: Mulan. Her ability repeats On Reveal effects β€” if your minion has an On Reveal ability, Mulan doubles it (casts it twice).

2

Build the core fast

Set the filter to β€œReveal” and every On Reveal minion pops up. Pick the good ones β€” just like that, about two-thirds of your deck is built.

3

Fill the holes

Missing early plays? Add a few cheap minions. Missing draw? Add card draw. And include a win condition β€” one big closer (like Bandersnatch) to end games.

4

Test it vs the bot (Big Bob)

Hit Play in Practice mode to battle the bot. The trick: start a match, take your mulligan, then concede for free β€” no cost, no rank loss. Repeat to test your mulligan: are you getting your 2-drops, or always starting behind? Dial in the early game first.

5

Play full games, then real opponents

Once the early game feels right, play full games (~10 min each). Then take it against real players with competitive decks and try different archetypes to learn your good and bad matchups.
