Strategy
- Many players, new and experienced, treat this like Amplifying Amphitheatre because the end result looks the same: a 5/5 in an open lane deals 10 damage. How it gets there is very different.
- At Amplifying Amphitheatre the damage comes in one attack, so any non-Trample character can be blocked by anything. A tiny Scarecrow can stop a 10/10 Paul Bunyan cold.
- Here, that Scarecrow only blocks the first attack. It's dead before the second one, so Paul Bunyan's second attack goes straight through to your barrier.
- That makes The Colosseum harder to defend. Blocking a big character with a small one doesn't work.
- Attack triggers happen twice too. Impundulu generates two Lightning Strikes, and an Ali Baba with an open lane to the barrier draws two cards.
